Mid-Level Production Support Engineer – Global Payments Systems

You will be an essential part of the Payments IT department's Production Support Team, responsible for ensuring the availability, stability, and performance of critical payment processing systems using Site Reliability Engineering disciplines. Your expertise will keep mission-critical operations running smoothly across a broad spectrum of technologies, supporting the backbone of global financial transactions. This role offers an exciting chance to contribute to innovative payment solutions and advance your career in a dynamic, technology-driven environment.Your main responsibilities:Provide comprehensive day-to-day production support, including incident resolution and post-issue analysis.Perform root cause analysis to troubleshoot major system problems efficiently.Install and support new software releases from vendors.Develop and implement locally tailored solutions using Shell Script, Java, Bash, or Python.Support testing activities related to system updates and new implementations.Collaborate with global stakeholders to review, design, and optimize support processes with new technologies.Drive continuous service improvements, capability upgrades, and process optimizations.Utilize tools for architecture analysis, data validation, and performance monitoring.Analyze key data to identify anomalies and support root cause investigations.Lead or support activities aimed at achieving team objectives and process excellence.You're ideal for this role if you have:Minimum of 3 years' experience in production support or related roles.Fluency in English, both spoken and written.At least 3 years' experience working with SQL and PL/SQL.Minimum of 3 years' experience with Linux.At least 2 years' experience with Kubernetes.Strong understanding of Oracle database architecture.Proficiency in shell scripting (Bash, Python, Java) for automation.Knowledge of system monitoring and performance tuning.Solid troubleshooting skills and ability to perform under pressure.Experience working within Agile/DevOps environments supporting high-frequency changes.It is a strong plus if you have:Experience in Payments industry or related domains.Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools.Language Required for the role:Fluent English (spoken and written).Eligibility to work in Europe:Only candidates with an existing legal right to work in the European Union will be considered for this role.#MAKEYourCareerBETTERInterested?
