We are looking for an experienced Procurement Specialist to join our team, focusing on end-to-end procurement of prototype automotive components. In this remote role, you will be responsible for supplier sourcing, RFQ management, quotation analysis, and ensuring timely delivery of parts to support project milestones. Your tasks
- Manage the end-to-end procurement process - from supplier identification to delivery tracking
- Analyze technical documentation, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and prepare procurement tracking lists
- Define prototype part quantities, spare parts requirements, and delivery schedules
- Identify and manage suppliers, including coordination of the NDA signing process
- Prepare and issue Requests for Quotation (RFQs) based on technical and commercial requirements
- Coordinate supplier communication, clarify technical and commercial topics, and analyze received quotations
- Compare supplier offers in terms of cost, lead time, production capabilities, and potential risks
- Support supplier selection, conduct commercial negotiations, and place purchase orders
- Monitor order execution, delivery timelines, and report procurement status
- Collaborate with Engineering, Project Management, Quality, and Logistics teams to ensure timely project delivery
Requirements
- Degree in Engineering, Technical, Supply Chain, or Business-related fields (technical background preferred)
- Minimum 5 years of purchasing experience in the automotive industry
- Experience working with technical automotive components, such as engines, transmissions, or cast parts
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain supplier relationships
- Knowledge of strategic sourcing processes and experience in supplier management
- Ability to understand technical documentation and BOM structures
- Good knowledge of MS Excel and strong analytical skills
- Very good English enabling effective written and verbal communication
- Ability to organize work, manage multiple priorities, and operate effectively in a project-based environment
- Analytical mindset, attention to detail, and a results-oriented approach
