**Job Description**
**GENERAL FUNCTION:**
An EPR Specialist is empowered to support our business units and customers by collecting material composition, chemical content, and regulatory information from BD suppliers. Your role will involve contacting BD suppliers from all over the world and working with them to obtain product environmental compliance information related to packaging waste, waste of electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE), and waste batteries. You will be responsible for data gathering activities as well as data maintenance from/to corporate databases. You will also have an opportunity to conduct research for publicly available information.
This role will assess data quality and completeness. You will be asked to perform some basic statistical and analytical work and maintain data in databases. You will also be responsible for providing support and mentorship to suppliers and other BD associates. As we work towards product transparency, we are continuously improving our process to provide up-to-date information. The role will require close liaison with manufacturing sites, packaging engineers, and in-country reporters.
The EPR Specialist will review and coordinate reporting/registration requirements for regions/countries as appropriate and agreed.
**RESPONSIBILITIES:**
* Support the extension of SAP S4 Hana Recycling Administration (REA) to additional countries and to the BD APM business unit.
* Assess data accuracy and verify data loads.
* Work with relevant Master Data Owners, business unit product stewards, and IT support to ensure accurate master data to support on time master data loads and reporting.
* May contact suppliers for compliance information.
* Support the completion of EPR reporting as required per country.
* May create selected purchase requisitions and ensure invoices are processed for payment.
* May provide data to respond to customer queries about packaging
**POSITION REQUIREMENTS:**
**EDUCATION:**
Bachelor level degree.
**KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:**
* Must be PC knowledgeable (Windows environment, Outlook, PowerPoint) and possess strong analytical MS Excel skills. MS Access query-writing skills desirable.
* Must possess analytical and problem-solving skills and stay alert to opportunities to continuously improve and simplify processes.
* Knowledge of waste (packaging, WEEE, and batteries) regulations is desirable.
* Must be systems savvy and have experience gathering data from various systems for analytical work.
* Experience in SAP and database programs helpful. Knowledge of SAP REA a bonus.
* Possess good verbal and written English communication skills.
* Must be detail-oriented, organized, and service-oriented.
* Must be a solution-oriented team player who can work independently, but collaboratively, in a small department within a cross-functional, cross-cultural, and international business environment.
* Able to work effectively in a home office-based environment with reliable connectivity (Wi-Fi).
